Cruise Day 7: Costa Maya

 Our call time was 6:50am and man, that was hard. We were all dragging. And it felt chilly on this dark morning. But we rallied and joined a group on a glass bottom boat to go snorkeling. The good news is that the water was warm. We saw a sea turtle, a giant sting ray, and tons of tropical fish. It was so cool! The kids did great with the waves and strong current. I was so proud of them! They are becoming great world wide snorklers! After about an hour in the ocean, we were brought to a small beach with mangroves and coconuts and the best chips and guacamole. Ella built a sand castle, Jack opened up a coconut, and Ray climbed the trees and laid out. We all LOVES the beach time. It was warm and calm and felt so good.

Back on the boat, it was a party at every turn! The girls went right to the water park, pools, and hot tubs while we took Jack to Royal Caribbean Astronaut Training. We had to solve a series of puzzles (all space themed) and it was super challenging and really fun. We met up with the girls and headed back to the water slides. We grabbed food and watched Jack on the Flo Rider. At one point, Ray decided to go back to the room but she forgot her wrist band so she couldn’t get in. We thought she was at kids club but she was actually at guest services waiting for us. We kinda got in trouble for that… whoops. We let the kids chill in the room for a bit while Tanner and I went to the Piano Bar for a trivia game. There is no shortage of things to do on a cruise ship! I’m glad we have one more day to explore.

We had some quiet time in the afternoon/evening and missed our dining time so the kids and I ate at Surfside Eatery which is mostly kid food (perfect). Tanner slept through it all. But after that, we saw one last show called Create which was another amazing performance with the talented team on Star of the Seas. It was all about being creative and using your imagination. We went to bed after reading Project Hail Mary and we all slept sooooo well.
