June 16th: Christopher Columbus

| Morning cuddle time |
Today after our walk to the park and a super yummy breakfast (at noon- I'm not so good at eating breakfast on time) Parker and I went to strands beach! We are super stoked about strands because they have free parking, a cool funicular, and great waves! We set up a really sweet spot and ate Doritos and gum balls. I read "7 Miracles that Saved America" and taught Parker about Christopher Columbus while he built sand castles and race tracks for his car. It was a really nice, relaxing day with my favorite 4 year old.
Before we left we strolled the new pathway above the beach and looked out over the million dollar homes and vacant lots. Who wants to go in with me and build a house on the beach? ;-)
Tonight our next door neighbor had a graduation party so we celebrated with them for a few minutes before cruisin over to the stake center for an outstanding stake conference. Our stake, and a few other stakes in south orange county and the vista stake, are piloting a new program/curriculum for the church's youth. The new program will launch world wide in 2013 but our stake is to give feedback about the new teaching strategy. It's all so exciting! They also skyped in a couple from our stake who are mission presidents in Japan. They spoke of their experiences there and encouraged senior couples in the stake to go on missions. It was all so excellent. Abby Braithwaite watched Parker and he had a blast with London- his future wife. :-)
Feeling very fulfilled tonight. So blessed by a loving and all knowing heavenly father.
Love you. Xoxo
